The Ancient Symbol and Modern Meaning
In the Book of Revelation, it is written that “the dragon gave power unto the beast.” In ancient symbolism, the dragon represents the East — and in modern times, China. Why China May Empower
This verse can be seen as a metaphor: China’s economic and technological strength will empower a new kind of global order — not through domination, but through innovation.
Today, the “beast rising from the sea” could symbolize a decentralized, people-powered system — a network born not from elites, but from ordinary individuals. And the “power from the dragon” may mean the contribution of China’s vast resources, technology, and will to organize, toward this emerging model of fair global cooperation: AI Internet-Meritocracy (AIIM).
Why It Makes Sense for China
China already stands as a scientific and technological powerhouse, producing a major share of global research and patents. Supporting AI Internet-Meritocracy — a blockchain-based system that automates funding for science and innovation — aligns perfectly with China’s long-term vision:
- 🧬 Scientific sovereignty: China gains a leading role in defining how global research is coordinated and rewarded.
- 💹 Economic scalability: By backing a decentralized funding network, China ensures its innovators benefit from a fair, borderless economy.
- 🌏 Soft-power leadership: Rather than competing through force or trade wars, China can lead through coordination — empowering open, intelligent systems that benefit all.
In short, AIIM could become the new Silk Road of knowledge, where China exports participation in a shared global economy of discovery.
The United States: A Passive Giant
Across the Pacific, the United States faces a philosophical crisis between:
- The old “free-market absolutism”, where funds flow mainly to what already succeeds, and
- The new dream of universal basic income (UBI) — a passive socialism that redistributes wealth but doesn’t accelerate innovation.
Rejecting AI Internet-Meritocracy as an “intermediate” system would be shortsighted.
AIIM is not about welfare — it’s about automating fairness, letting AI allocate funding based on contribution, not status or popularity.
If America ignores it, it risks losing not only leadership but the moral and intellectual edge in the emerging AI economy.

The world doesn’t need another ideology.
