AI Internet-Meritocracy Charity Project for Donors in 2026

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Donating money or crypto to AIIM project is a great way to amplify your global impact, because it pinpoints the crux of global economic inefficiency, unjust financing of R&D, including science and free software.

Please, support us. (“Think big, start small” – even a little donation on this beginning stage of the project will have a great effect, so called effective altruism.) Also, please link to this site, to increase its rating on Google, and pass a short survey. Also we welcome volunteer software developers to join.

Project’s importance

This is how both science and software work in modern world:

About AI Internet-Socialism
From this comic: https://xkcd.com/2347/
  • Predatory and deceptive publishing practices can weaken quality control, mislead authors, and make it harder to distinguish credible research from inadequately reviewed work.
  • At the other hand, some of the researchers are not properly advertising their research (e.g. because of lack of money) due to which only those who are searching through the right keywords know about it. As a result, the other researchers studying the same topic won’t publish their research because it has been already published but not marketed properly making the research unpublishable and the science stuck. This happens, for example if a discovery author lacks institutional support and money. I call this scientific coveries: When a discovery is “covered” from publication even if rediscovered later.
  • This creates the situation of “missing components” in science. In rare cases, a neglected enabling result may block many downstream developments and therefore have disproportionate value. Determining whether a particular result has that role requires independent technical evidence, a neglected detail may be of tremendous importance, just like as missing water in a desert may be priced as a billion dollars.

Consequences of stuck science

  • Stuck science means stuck medicine, stuck climate, stuck air tickets price, stuck computer CPU and GPU improvements, the list can be continued. It means progress stuck for everyone, including you. If you want better future, support the AIIM project.
  • An example of stuck science are ordered semigroup actions (OSA), that due to an unfortunate sequence of events stuck in kinda half-published state. You may not know what this means, but the project’s founder argues that ordered semigroup actions may provide a useful unifying framework in mathematics. Its broader practical importance has not yet been independently established.
  • Now, before we unstuck science, resources are lost on scientific coveries in a great magnitude. Delayed recognition of useful research can impose substantial opportunity costs, although those costs are difficult to quantify and vary greatly by discovery. Now, if I want to earn money, I literally need to pay a big sum in advance for the right to receive salary (called PhD).
  • Technology, probably, up to now was making this problem even worse.

After we unstuck future of scientific research

  • AI Internet-Meritocracy project gives a solution: Let us gather money and distribute it among scientists and free software developers, how much each person is worth to receive accordingly a decision of an AI app. AI is a judge, that can’t be bribed, simply because it has no its own money account. It is hypothesized that we can’t be more fair to each recipient, rather than to give money distribution to an AI. This app is possibly the fairest money distribution engine in the world. See also its advantages compared to Giveth/Gitcoin grants.
  • After we unstuck science with AIIM, at sufficient scale, AIIM could provide supplementary or primary funding to some researchers and FOSS developers who are underserved by conventional institutions. No more unpaid work! And, maybe more importantly, every scientific discovery will be publicized adequately to its value. We will do this by creating a new occupation, science marketers. No more unimaginable economic losses, just because somebody is in Zimbabwe or was fired due to an affair of the PhD supervisor with his wife.

Call to action

Supporting AIIM may appeal both to donors motivated by public benefit and to those interested in the long-term economic value of better science.

Project status

See this page for the status of developed/deployed software.

Support Independent Science

Our flagship product is AI Internet-Meritocracy - an app, that unlike universities distributes money directly to researchers and open source developers, without traditional bureaucracy.

AIIM’s dependency-aware allocation model is currently being tested. Support the next testing milestone.

Supporting independent science is not only a matter of fairness to researchers whose expertise and work are often underfunded. It is also essential for addressing systemic failures in scientific publishing that delay discoveries and leave important results unnoticed. In science and software, even one missing component can prevent an entire system from working.

Help valuable research and open-source infrastructure move forward. Please make a donation to support independent scientists and free software developers.

Dislclaimer

Experimental-system notice: AI Internet-Meritocracy is an experimental funding system. Its AI-generated evaluations are heuristic judgments based on available public or connected-account evidence; they are not validated measurements of a person’s causal economic or scientific impact. The current beta uses custodial and administrative components. Decentralized governance, non-custodial wallets, and complete on-chain auditability remain under development. Evaluations may contain factual errors or biases and should be interpreted together with audit logs, appeals, human oversight, and published test results.

  1. Hi there! This post couldn’t be written any better! Reading through this post reminds me of my previous room mate! He always kept talking about this. I will forward this article to him. Pretty sure he will have a good read. Thank you for sharing!
