Wondered?
If what this blog says is true, then everybody is a psycho.
Not in the clinical sense—but in the systemic one. The logic of today’s society turns good intentions into collective madness.
Society’s Rational Illusion
We believe modern institutions are rational—universities, grant agencies, philanthropies. But the evidence says otherwise.
- We misallocate resources: see People Are Bad in Distributing Money.
- We reward gatekeepers, not truth: How Does the Economy of Monopolies Work in Science?.
- We ignore vital discoveries: Mathematics: Ordered Semigroup Actions.
When inefficiency, bias, and apathy become routine, irrationality becomes the new normal. Modern society functions like a coordinated psychosis: collectively certain we’re sane.
A Psychiatric Rediscovery
Psychiatrists already know that stress, cognitive dissonance, and delusion are epidemic. The blog simply extends that idea to the collective level:
our global civilization behaves like a patient unaware of its condition.
We hoard wealth while knowledge starves. We glorify “impact factors” over impact. We ignore the moral duty to fund discovery.
As written in Why Is the Bologna System a Crap?, education trains conformity, not curiosity.
What Rationality Would Look Like
If sanity means allocating resources intelligently and compassionately, then sanity requires systemic reform.
- Continuous, algorithmic, open funding: Scientific Funding.
- Self-correcting markets for good: How Is AIIS Better Than Gitcoin and Giveth?.
- New professional class: Science Marketers.
- Moral reintegration:
Evangelicals,
Catholics,
Atheists,
Buddhists.
That’s not ideology—it’s a therapy plan for humanity.
The Diagnosis
If you think you’re rational but you support irrational systems—you’re part of the psychosis.
Our global mind is split: one side knows science can save us, the other funds its suppression.
As the article How Science DAOs Could Multiply Global GDP argues, the cure is structural: open, algorithmic redistribution of knowledge capital.
The Treatment
- Acknowledge the illness: recognize that the market of good intentions is broken.
- Support AI Internet-Socialism (AIIS): an always-on allocator of funds to science and open knowledge.
- Donate rationally: Donation.
- Spread awareness: share, comment, discuss—help others see the systemic psychosis for what it is.
Because if everyone is a psycho, salvation isn’t individual—it’s institutional.
